3D ANIMATION
Character Movement - iAnimate Workshop Character movement cycles and clips I created as part of an animation workshop in October-December 2016. Animated in Maya from a combination of self-shot and internet video references, using iAnimate's "Anna", "Legion" and "Cryosuit" rigs.
Pose Transitions - iAnimate Workshop Two pose transitions and a basic jump I created as part of an animation workshop in April-June 2016. Animated in Maya from self-shot references, using iAnimate's "Cryosuit" rig.
A pair of basic game character rigs I put together during my downtime in late April - early May of 2017. The aim was to better acquaint myself with the differences and similarities in the rigging workflow between 3dsMax and Maya.
Both rigs use the same character mesh, and are functionally identical, despite having somewhat different mechanisms.
They feature a very simple FK core from pelvis to head, including fingers and basic face controls. But also a fully dynamic IK/FK system for the limbs - including counter-twist joints, and a custom tool to position-match any of the limb controls to the current body posture.
